Slaves to Devon Rex and Tonkinese Cats
My name is Annette and I live near Longtown, Carlisle with my partner David.
We love our cats and also have 2 border collies.
I have owned cats all my life and fell in love with burmese during my college years when I was in digs with a breeder. I got my first 2 boys from this lady and was smitten.
I started breeding 6 years ago with my burmese girl and produced several beautiful first generation tonkinese. ( Burmese x Siamese). From these litters I kept the lovely Sassy who went on to give me 3 wonderful litters of second generation babies. All these babies can be seen on the 'Past Kittens' page. Sassy did not get on with the other cats and for her own quality of life she was recently rehomed with one of Evie's kittens. Sassy will always hold a special place in my heart.
I have always loved the devon breed and Naala (or Lala) is or first devon girl.
She is strong willed and very michevious and likes to think she is the boss.
She has a fetish for water and loves to take a bath with you and can't resist a running tap!
Our second devon girl joined us November 2008 and she is a black smoke. She is a typical devon, always helping and always eating!! We look forward to showing and breeding this sepcial girl. Our third devon baby is Tia, she is a tortie smoke and white and has just recently joined us in October 2009, she is a fantastic sweet girl who loves her cuddles.
She is very messy though and needs lots of baths to keep her looking half clean!
I added Evie to my family in November 2006. I waited a long time for a special brown spotted tonkinese and have been rewarded with the sweetest natured cat - a trait she has past onto her babies.
Last, but certainly not least, in Moggie- our granny of the group. Moggie is 14 years old now and I found her sitting at the side of a country road when she was 4-5 weeks old. Her mother was lying dead near by - she must have been moving her babies when killed by a car. Moggie was a little spitfire and had a sookie blanket for 2 years but she has the most patient and acceptng nature, she truely is a lady.
Our cats all live indoors and only have 1 litter of babies per year. The babies are raised as part of the family and are socialised before leaving us at 13 weeks.
